Qualifications & Experience:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker
• Previous experience in a school or youth-focused setting is highly preferred
• Strong communication and active listening skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, family systems, and community resource coordination

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for students coping with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
• Assess student and family needs, and participate in the development of intervention plans
• Serve on interdisciplinary teams, contributing social work perspectives to IEP and 504 meetings
• Provide crisis response and support services, addressing urgent issues as they arise
• Connect students and families with community resources and support networks
• Deliver parent and staff training on relevant topics such as trauma-informed practices and mental health awareness
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
