Make an impact by supporting students academic, social, and emotional development in a dynamic school environment. A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated School Social Worker to provide services across two elementary schools and a preschool classroom. This role is onsite and spans the entire academic year, from late August 2026 through mid-May 2027, serving a caseload of approximately 40 students.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Approval from the Michigan Department of Education as a School Social Worker (required)
• Strong background providing social work support in educational settings, especially with elementary and preschool-aged children
• Excellent ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver school social work services addressing students academic, social, and emotional needs
• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans and crisis interventions as necessary
• Consult with educators and families to support student success
• Provide direct services and support groups tailored to individual or small group needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to student support teams
• Aid in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as appropriate
