What you'll need to succeed:
- Valid Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) license
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Experience working with K-8 students preferred
- Strong counseling, evaluation, and assessment skills
- Ability to deliver standard testing and behavioral interventions
- Collaborative communication and organizational abilities
- Comfortable working full-time in a school setting
Key responsibilities:
- Serve students across one dedicated school
- Manage a K-8 caseload, addressing a variety of academic and social-emotional needs
- Conduct student assessments, provide counseling, and implement social-emotional strategies
- Facilitate and document standard testing and evaluations
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and support individualized plans
- Participate in meetings and provide recommendations for interventions and support services
- Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality standards
