A full-time School Social Worker position is available to support students in grades K-8 within a school setting located near Rockford, IL. This role is a contract assignment extending through June 5th and involves direct involvement in providing counseling services, conducting evaluations, and assisting students through standard testing periods. A caseload of one school ensures focused and impactful service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver counseling and social work services to K-8 students
- Perform evaluations to assess student needs and progress
- Assist with managing student caseloads during standard testing
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student well-being
- Maintain compliance with district policies and reporting requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) license with Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Experience working in school social work preferred, with proficiency supporting elementary and middle school age groups
- Ability to evaluate student needs and provide appropriate interventions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for coordination with school staff and families
Assignment Details:
- Location: Rockford, IL area (Loves Park vicinity)
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
