Job Summary
A school district in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a School Social Worker for a fulltime, onsite contract. This role supports K12 students by addressing socialemotional, behavioral, and mental health needs through individual and group services, collaboration with school teams, and family support. Candidates must hold appropriate California licensure or credentialing.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student socialemotional needs
- Conduct socialemotional and behavioral assessments as appropriate
- Participate in IEP and 504 meetings and support special education processes
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community agencies
- Support crisis intervention and behavior support planning
- Assist with attendance, engagement, and schoolwide support initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
Required Qualifications
- California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential School Social Work
or - California LCSW (if accepted by district)
- Masters degree in Social Work or related field
- Ability to pass background checks and fingerprinting
- Schoolbased experience preferred (new graduates welcome if credentialed)
