Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or credential for school social work (or eligibility)
- Prior experience in a school setting or with youth populations preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and advocacy skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families
- Compassion, flexibility, and cultural competence when addressing diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for students requiring support
- Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, emotional, or social issues
- Serve as a liaison among students, parents, teachers, and community resources
- Assist in the development of individualized education programs (IEPs) as needed
- Implement strategies to promote positive school climate and student engagement
- Respond to crises and provide ongoing support for at-risk students
