Job Description

Step into a vital role serving K-12 students as a school social worker in the vibrant Denver Metro area! This full-time contract opportunity is perfect for an experienced professional eager to make a lasting impact on young lives. Youll be based onsite at two schools per assignment, supporting students mental health, addressing barriers to learning, and collaborating closely with families and school teams.

Your role will involve:

  • Delivering direct mental health services to students across age rangesfrom early childhood to high school.
  • Supporting students with challenges related to academics, behavior, attendance, socialization, or personal wellness.
  • Assessing student needs and making timely referrals to external agencies when necessary.
  • Maintaining case notes, tracking progress, and recognizing behavioral patterns to develop effective support strategies.
  • Facilitating communication among parents, educators, and administrators for a holistic view of student needs.
  • Providing interventions, treatment planning, and skill-building workshops as required.
  • Upholding comprehensive documentation and ethical standards.
  • Committing to complete the entire academic year for consistency in student care.

Your experience and credentials should include:

  • A Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current Colorado Special Service Provider License for School Social Worker (birth21).
  • At least three years of professional social work experience in school settings.
  • A history of upholding high ethical standards, excellent communication, and advocacy for students.
  • Willingness to complete all district onboarding requirements, including a background check and fingerprinting.
