Job Description

Step into a rewarding role supporting students as part of an Autism Summer School program. This contract opportunity is designed for a dedicated School Social Worker to provide guidance and support from July 7th through August 6th. Youll work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to noonoffering an ideal schedule for professionals seeking work-life balance during the summer.

This role allows you to make a meaningful impact on students' lives in a vibrant, engaging environment. Your expertise as a School Social Worker will be essential in helping students with autism make the most of their summer learning experience.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid School Social Worker Certification (emergency or temporary licenses not accepted)
  • Previous experience working within school settings, preferably with students with autism or special needs
  • Strong skills in individual and group counseling, behavioral intervention, and IEP development
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and educational staff
  • Ability to create a supportive and respectful environment for all students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social work services to students attending the Autism Summer School program
  • Collaborate with educators and related service staff to support individualized education plan (IEP) goals
  • Conduct social-emotional assessments and support interventions tailored to each student's needs
  • Engage with families to foster communication, provide resources, and ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services and progress for each student
