As a Social Worker in schools, you will have the opportunity to foster the well-being and academic success of students across a diverse caseload. Your expertise and compassion will shine as you collaborate with educators, families, and students to address challenges and develop strategies that empower learners of all backgrounds and abilities.
What makes you a great fit:
- Valid Social Worker licensure/certification for school-based practice (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Experience in schools or comparable settings supporting children and adolescents
- Strong understanding of special education, 504, and general education processes
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for helping students reach their full potential
Key responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group counseling to students experiencing academic, behavioral, or social-emotional challenges
- Develop intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
- Support IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive supports
- Document and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
- Serve as an advocate for student well-being
