Make a difference by supporting students social and emotional growth in a school-based contract position near Bloomington, IL. This opportunity is available for either full-time or part-time hours, providing the flexibility you need while engaging in meaningful work.
As a School Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in working with small groups of students and managing approximately 45 evaluations throughout your assignment. Your expertise will help shape a positive educational environment, directly impacting the lives of children and their families.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Current Illinois PEL with School Social Worker endorsement required
- Previous school social work experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and support diverse student needs
- Experience conducting evaluations and writing reports
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions for students
- Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments as part of the evaluation process
- Develop and implement intervention strategies that support students IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and share professional input regarding student progress
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation
