As a School Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in working with small groups of students and managing approximately 45 evaluations throughout your assignment. Your expertise will help shape a positive educational environment, directly impacting the lives of children and their families.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Current Illinois PEL with School Social Worker endorsement required
• Previous school social work experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and support diverse student needs
• Experience conducting evaluations and writing reports

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions for students
• Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments as part of the evaluation process
• Develop and implement intervention strategies that support students IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and share professional input regarding student progress
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation
