What you need to bring:

• Masters degree in social work
• Michigan Dept. of Education (MDE) Full Approval or School Social Worker Certificate (or SSW 310 credential letter with MDE application initiated)
• Active Michigan State Social Worker license (LARA)
• Previous experience supporting K-12 or Special Education students preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, and dedication to student success
• Ability to build meaningful connections with students and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

What youll do:

• Deliver intervention support to Special Education students in small or moderate groups as well as individual sessions
• Provide social and emotional support to help students thrive academically and personally
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to address student needs and develop effective support plans
• Keep accurate documentation and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Promote positive school climates and act as an advocate for student well-being
• Serve elementary, middle, or high school age groups, depending on current caseload assignments
