Qualifications:

• Current New Mexico Social Worker license required
• Active NMPED certificate required
• Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
• Compassionate communication style and ability to build rapport with children and families
• Skillful at facilitating individual and group interventions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to confidentiality
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral support to elementary-aged students
• Conduct needs assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to each child
• Serve as a resource for students, teachers, and families to address barriers to learning
• Collaborate with educational staff to promote a positive learning environment
• Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed to support student success
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings when appropriate
• Engage in crisis intervention and provide guidance during urgent situations
• Maintain timely documentation and compliance with school policies and state requirements
