Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker.
- Experience supporting students in elementary, middle, or high school settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention, evidence-based counseling methods, and special education processes.
- Commitment to fostering inclusivity, equity, and student empowerment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
- Attend case conferences, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Advocate for students by connecting them and their families with community resources and support services.
- Promote social-emotional learning and positive behavioral practices throughout the school community.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold ethical practices in line with district and state policies.
