Qualifications & Experience:
- License or certification as a School Social Worker.
- Demonstrated experience in an educational setting, preferably working with multiple age groups, from elementary through high school.
- Strong knowledge of social-emotional learning frameworks and behavioral interventions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and crisis intervention skills.
- Ability to develop trust with students, families, and staff while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Adaptability to manage diverse caseloads and work in a team-oriented environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling and intervention for students facing challenges, whether academic, behavioral, or emotional.
- Develop and implement individual or group support plans tailored to student needs.
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address barriers to learning and promote a positive school climate.
- Connect families with community resources and outside services as needed.
- Maintain thorough, confidential documentation of casework and services provided.
- Contribute to staff professional development on student well-being and behavioral strategies.
- Participate in IEP meetings and support special education teams as required.
