Qualifications & Experience:

• Masters degree in social work is required
• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Previous experience as a school-based social worker preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and collaborative school teams
• Knowledge of current best practices in school social work
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify student needs
• Provide direct counseling and intervention services to individuals and small groups
• Collaborate with teachers and families to address academic or social challenges
• Develop and implement effective behavior support strategies
• Maintain records and prepare required documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team decision-making
• Advocate for students, helping connect them to community resources
