Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students as a contract school social worker this fall. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners at two elementary schools, providing essential social and emotional support during a maternity leave. Youll play a key part in helping students navigate challenges, collaborate with educators and families, and foster a positive, inclusive school environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid licensure or certification to practice as a school social worker, in accordance with state requirements
• Prior experience working with elementary-aged children in a school or community setting
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and a collaborative approach to team-based support
• Ability to deliver interventions, develop IEP goals, and document progress
• Knowledge of evidence-based strategies to support students social and emotional well-being

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work support and counseling to students, both individually and in small groups
• Conduct assessments, contribute to IEP meetings, and maintain accurate records
• Partner with teachers, families, and staff to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
• Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive climate for all students
• Consult with staff and recommend interventions supporting student success
