Shape student success and positively impact young lives in a dynamic school environment as a dedicated professional supporting students from transitional kindergarten through high school. This contract position is located near La Mesa, CA, and offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse student population in need of compassionate guidance and expertise.
Ideal candidates hold a valid Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in school psychology and are experienced in collaborating within educational settings to support students well-being. Youll provide essential support to a low-volume caseloadabout one to two students per monthmaking this an impactful yet manageable opportunity. The schedule offers flexibility, with 20-24 hours per week across 3-5 days, perfect for those who appreciate work-life balance.
Qualifications:
- PPS credential in school psychology required
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, students, and families
- Comfort with serving TK-12 student ages
- Adaptable to changing needs within schools
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct support to assigned students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans
- Offer guidance and intervention strategies for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation
- Serve as a valuable resource for students, families, and staff
