Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker
- Prior experience with K-12 student populations is highly desirable
- Strong communication and collaborative skills with staff, students, and families
- Familiarity with crisis intervention, behavioral management, and community resources
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling and case management for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Develop and implement intervention strategies in collaboration with teachers and administrators
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, offering insights on student needs and progress
- Connect students and families with relevant community resources and external agencies as appropriate
- Facilitate small group and classroom sessions on topics such as social skills, conflict resolution, and coping strategies
- Maintain thorough, confidential records and prepare necessary reports in accordance with school and legal requirements
