Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid and current state social work licensure or certification appropriate for a school setting
- Demonstrated experience in a school-based or youth-focused social work role preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to connect with diverse student populations
- Proficiency in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and case management
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students unique social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement targeted intervention strategies individually and in small groups
- Work in conjunction with teachers, administrators, and parents to design effective support plans
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community organizations to connect students with essential services
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the creation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or 504 Plans as required
- Maintain detailed, confidential documentation and reporting
- Provide crisis support and respond effectively to urgent student concerns
