Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
• Current, active state licensure as a School Social Worker (or eligibility to obtain)
• Prior experience working with children or adolescents, preferably within school systems
• Familiarity with educational law, Section 504, IEP processes, and crisis intervention techniques
• Strong communication and case management skills with the ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and outside agencies
• Compassion, empathy, and a strong desire to facilitate growth and resilience in students of diverse backgrounds

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct individual and group counseling to students facing emotional, behavioral, or family challenges that impact their academic performance
• Develop and implement intervention strategies to address students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community resources, ensuring collaborative support for students and families
• Participate actively in educational team meetings, including student assistance teams and IEP/504 planning
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain detailed case records in accordance with regulations
• Offer crisis intervention, support during emergencies, and coordinate continuity of care services
