Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Valid state licensure or certification in school social work (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with children and adolescents in an educational, clinical, or related setting
- Strong understanding of evidence-based practices in mental health and crisis intervention
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills with the ability to connect with students, parents, and staff
- Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and student support plans preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to address student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families to support academic achievement and positive behaviors
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for students facing personal, family, or social challenges
- Assist in crisis management and intervention as needed
- Coordinate referrals to community resources and outside support agencies
- Maintain detailed, confidential records in accordance with school policies
