Skills & Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Social Worker
- Previous experience with school-aged children and adolescents, ideally in multiple grade levels
- Understanding of school systems, special education, and crisis intervention
- Strong organizational, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Compassionate communicator, able to connect with diverse students and families
- Adaptable and solution-focused approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support services to students facing academic, social, behavioral, or emotional challenges
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
- Partner with educators, administrators, and parents/guardians to develop action plans and interventions
- Serve as a resource for crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and referrals to community agencies
- Participate in special education assessments, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary teams
- Advocate for student needs and help foster an inclusive, positive school culture
- Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality at all times
