Skills & Experience Sought:
- Active Illinois School Social Work License required
- Previous experience supporting elementary-age students strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of child development, family systems, and classroom dynamics
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly with teachers, staff, and families
- Organized, empathetic, and resourceful approach to managing caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing social, emotional, or behavioral concerns
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to support student growth
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to create positive learning environments
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide recommendations, and document progress
- Connect families with community resources and advocate for student needs
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district protocols
