Step into an impactful role supporting students as a School Social Worker on a contract basis. Located near Jackson, NJ, this onsite position runs from ASAP through June 2027, providing an excellent opportunity to make a sustained difference in a local school community. Youll work 32.5 hours weekly as a key member of the Child Study Team (CST), offering your expertise to foster student well-being and success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active NJ School Social Worker (SSW) License required
- Experience or strong interest in working within a school setting
- Familiarity with CST processes and collaborative teamwork
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Compassionate approach to supporting students and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary support for students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and assist with IEPs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create positive educational environments
- Participate actively in CST meetings, evaluations, and the development of student services
- Offer crisis intervention and support conflict resolution as needed
