This full-time contract opportunity allows you to work directly with K-5 students, fostering social, emotional, and academic growth while collaborating closely with fellow educators and families.
Your expertise as a licensed Social Worker will be key to helping young learners thrive. By addressing individual student needs and promoting a positive school environment, you'll play an essential role in guiding children toward success.
What you bring:
- Valid Minnesota SSW license
- Prior professional experience in a school setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
- Compassionate, student-centered approach
- Experience working with both general education and special education populations preferred
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct social work services to K-5 students
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies
- Support social, emotional, and behavioral development within the school setting
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to advocate for students needs
- Participate in IEP/504 meetings for special education students
- Maintain case documentation and support compliance with district and state requirements
