Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Michigan School Social Worker License required
- Previous experience in a school setting, especially with early childhood populations, preferred
- Strong understanding of social-emotional development in young children
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student needs
- Excellent communication, evaluation, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and screenings to assess students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement individualized strategies and interventions for early childhood students
- Provide direct social work servicesincluding counseling, trauma-informed support, and crisis interventionto a caseload of fewer than 10 students
- Assist with behavior response planning and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to address challenges
- Maintain accurate and timely records of services, communications, and interventions
