Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active licensure or certification as a School Social Worker.
• Previous experience with students at the elementary, middle, and/or high school levels is highly valued.
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, behavioral interventions, and crisis management.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to create a positive rapport with students, families, and school staff.
• Comfortable with flexible, adaptive approaches to meet diverse student needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling services to students individually and in groups.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop intervention strategies and support plans.
• Address issues such as attendance, bullying, social skills, family changes, and crisis intervention.
• Advocate for students while maintaining positive relationships with families and community resources.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs or 504 plans as appropriate.
• Maintain thorough, confidential documentation of services and student progress.
