Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students as an onsite school social worker in a dynamic educational community near Howell, MI. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide vital support for special education students, tailoring interventions in both small group and one-on-one settings. With a flexible caseload spanning K-12, youll collaborate with educators and families to empower students and boost their success throughout the school year.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work required
  • Full Approval or Social Worker Certificate from the Michigan Department of Education, or SSW 310 credential letter and active MDE application process
  • Current Michigan State Social Worker license issued by LARA
  • Experience or passion for working with students in school environments
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide intervention support to special education students, individually or in small groups
  • Develop, implement, and monitor behavioral and emotional interventions to meet student needs
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families to enhance student outcomes and ensure coordinated support
  • Conduct assessments and maintain thorough, compliant documentation
  • Promote a safe and positive school environment for all learners
