Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work required
- Full Approval or valid School Social Worker Certificate from the Michigan Dept of Education, or SSW 310 credential letter from your university (with an active application in progress)
- Current Michigan State Social Worker license through LARA
- Experience supporting Special Education students, preferably in a K-12 school setting
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide intervention support to Special Education students in both small or moderate group settings and one-on-one as needed
- Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to promote positive student outcomes
- Maintain appropriate records, assessments, and documentation in compliance with state and district regulations
- Support caseloads across a range of grade levels, from K-12, depending on current needs and assignments within the school
