Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker
- Previous experience working with children and adolescents in a school or similar setting is highly valued
- Strong understanding of intervention strategies, crisis response, and support services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and integrity
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing individual and group counseling to students facing emotional, social, or behavioral challenges
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to create and implement effective intervention plans
- Identifying resources within the school and community to support student needs
- Supporting crisis intervention and helping students navigate life transitions
- Advocating for students academic, social, and emotional growth
- Assisting in the development and implementation of school-wide programs that promote positive mental health
