Step into an impactful role designed for a dedicated School Social Worker ready to make a difference in the lives of K-12 students. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a caseload of 48 students, supporting their emotional, social, and academic growth from now through June 5th, 2026.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified as a School Social Worker
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for engaging with students, staff, and families
- Solid knowledge of social-emotional learning practices, crisis intervention, and individualized student support planning
- Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload, maintaining accurate documentation
- Compassionate, proactive approach to student advocacy and support
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social work services to students, both individually and in groups
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and recommend appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to develop and implement support plans
- Serve as a key member of multidisciplinary teams, contributing insights for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Support crisis intervention and offer resources and referrals for additional community supports
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes student well-being and personal growth
