Qualifications & Preferred Skills:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • Active licensure in school social work for Illinois
  • Previous experience working as a school social worker (strongly preferred)
  • Comfortable with both individual and small-group interventions
  • Skilled in conducting evaluations, developing service plans, and maintaining documentation
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments for students requiring support services
  • Facilitate small counseling groups, providing emotional and behavioral guidance
  • Develop, implement, and review individualized intervention plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to coordinate comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for evaluations and student progress
  • Advocate for students well-being and help connect families to community resources as needed
