Your background in school-based social work will provide crucial support to students, families, and staff. You'll handle case management, direct counseling, and be a key resource for mental health services.
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Special Service Provider (SSW) license required
- Prior experience as a school social worker strongly preferred
- Understanding of 504 Plan processes
- Skilled in counseling children and adolescents, including at-risk and general education populations
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to provide intervention for crisis situations such as suicide/risk assessments and threat assessments
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate 504 Plan cases, including conducting meetings, evaluations, and plan updates
- Provide mental health counseling services to students on a 504 caseload and to at-risk/general education students as needed
- Conduct and document suicide/risk assessments, threat assessments, and assist with crisis intervention
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to support student well-being and educational goals
