Job Description

Put your expertise to work supporting students as a School Social Worker for the upcoming school year. This part-time contract opportunity runs from August 17, 2026, to May 27, 2027, with assignments primarily at an elementary campus. Youll play a vital role in helping students and families thrive by providing social-emotional support on-site in a collaborative school environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a social work endorsement required.
  • Experience working as a school social worker or in a similar educational setting preferred.
  • Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Skilled in conducting assessments and developing interventions for student well-being.
  • Comfortable working in-person on campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct social-emotional and counseling services to students on an individual and group basis.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to address student needs and barriers to learning.
  • Conduct student evaluations and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as required.
  • Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and referrals to community resources.
  • Support overall positive school climate and foster safe, supportive learning environments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with relevant legal and ethical requirements.
