Make a positive impact this school year by supporting students as a School Social Worker in a dynamic educational setting. We're seeking dedicated professionals for two contract opportunities: one serving the full K-12 spectrum, and another focused on high school caseloads. You'll work alongside teachers, administrators, and families to foster student growth and well-being.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
- Valid state certification/licensure as a School Social Worker
- Previous experience in educational settings (elementary, middle, and/or high school)
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Capacity to manage diverse caseloads and adapt interventions to meet a wide range of student needs
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to student advocacy
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling to address students' academic, social, and emotional challenges
- Develop, implement, and monitor intervention strategies for students requiring additional support
- Collaborate with educators, families, and community partners to support holistic student development
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams, including IEP and 504 planning where needed
- Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and referral services for students and families
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture by leading initiatives to promote mental health and social-emotional learning
- Maintain detailed records and documentation according to ethical and legal standards
