Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity as a School Social Worker, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a welcoming and collaborative educational environment near Grand Ledge, MI. This position offers you the chance to make a significant impact, working closely with a manageable caseload of approximately 48 students.
In this role, you'll draw on your expertise in school social work to foster positive student development and enhance the overall school climate. Youll be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team, helping students navigate challenges and promoting their social, emotional, and academic well-being through June 5th, 2026.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
- Prior experience working with K-12 students strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of behavioral interventions, crisis response, and case management
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Collaborative team approach and a passion for supporting student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct social work services to a diverse caseload of K-12 students
- Assess student needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Provide counseling and support to students facing social, behavioral, or emotional challenges
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to coordinate care and interventions
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in student support teams, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary collaboration
