Key Qualifications:

• Valid licensure or certification in school social work (MSW or equivalent)
• Experience working with students in elementary, middle, and/or high school settings
• Deep understanding of child and adolescent development, diverse backgrounds, and trauma-informed care
• Strong communication, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families
• Organizational expertise, with the capacity to manage caseloads and maintain accurate records

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling for students to address behavioral, social, and emotional needs
• Develop and implement intervention plans, collaborating closely with faculty, staff, and parents or guardians
• Conduct classroom observations and assessments to identify students in need of support
• Lead or participate in IEP meetings, 504 plans, and multidisciplinary teams
• Serve as a resource on mental health and wellness initiatives throughout the school community
• Connect students and families with necessary community resources and support services
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate for all learners
