This contract opportunity offers the chance to work onsite with K-12 students, providing both group interventions and individualized support for special education populations. With a 35-hour workweek, youll have a consistent schedule to build strong, supportive relationships and collaborate with educational staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work is required
- Current Michigan State Social Worker license through LARA
- Hold either Full Approval, Social Worker Certificate from the Michigan Department of Education, or an SSW 310 credential letter (and have begun the MDE application process)
- Experience with school-age students, ranging from elementary through high school, is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially when working with diverse students and staff
- Ability to provide social-emotional interventions in both small groups and 1:1 settings
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver intervention support to special education students in small or moderate group formats, as well as one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams to develop and implement individualized support plans
- Adapt strategies and interventions to meet the unique needs of students across elementary, middle, or high school caseloads
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, complying with all regulatory and ethical standards
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and confidential environment for students and families
