You'll work onsite, partnering with a supportive educational team to deliver vital intervention services to students across various age groups, including K-12. Caseloads may range from elementary to high school, based on current needs and your professional strengths.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work required
- Fully licensed and certified as a School Social Worker by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)
- Possess either Full Approval, a Social Worker Certificate, or an SSW 310 credential letter (with MDE application in process)
- Current Michigan State Social Worker license through LARA
- Experience providing intervention, group, and 1:1 support for special education students
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Adaptable and compassionate approach to supporting students with a wide range of needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct intervention services to K-12 students in small groups, moderate settings, and one-on-one
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies that support student achievement
- Document student progress and provide updates to multidisciplinary teams
- Address social, behavioral, and emotional challenges facing students
- Design and implement group sessions and individualized interventions
