Job Description

A school-based social work opportunity is available for Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) to support students in grades K-12 in a dynamic educational setting in Fremont, CA. This position offers a contract-to-hire arrangement with approximately 30 hours per week, providing a balanced workload and meaningful impact on student wellbeing throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical social work services to individual students and families, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to develop intervention plans and support student success.
  • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school policies.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and connect students with community resources as needed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a holistic approach to student support.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential (PPS credential not required).
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in educational or clinical settings, ideally grades K-12.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Ability to manage caseload efficiently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Comfort with remote interview and onboarding processes.

Location:

  • Position is based in Fremont, CA.
  • Assignment includes support for one school with a caseload tailored to student needs.
