Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work
- Michigan State Social Worker license through LARA
- Full Approval or Social Worker Certificate from the Michigan Department of Education (MDE), or SSW 310 credential letter with progress toward MDE authorization
- Experience or readiness to provide intervention support in small groups, moderate groups, and 1:1 settings
- Comfortable working with diverse caseloads, including K-12 students, with placements possible in elementary, middle, or high school settings depending on availability
- Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted behavioral and emotional interventions to students with special needs
- Work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement student plans
- Maintain accurate records and provide ongoing case management
- Offer guidance to educators and caregivers related to student social-emotional needs
- Support student success through individual and group sessions, adjusting approaches to meet evolving needs
- Ensure compliance with all state and district regulations and uphold professional ethics
