Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Current and valid social work license recognized in the state of Alaska
• Prior experience in a school, youth, or community setting highly preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, educators, and families
• Ability to assess student needs, develop support plans, and provide crisis intervention
• Deep understanding of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and diversity awareness
• Comfortable adapting to a dynamic educational setting and flexible with day-to-day responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify barriers to student learning and well-being
• Offer individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues
• Partner with teachers, administrators, and family members to develop and implement intervention strategies
• Coordinate access to community resources and support services as needed for students and families
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to educational planning
• Advocate for students needs and champion a safe, inclusive school climate
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ethical and legal guidelines in all work
