A school is seeking a qualified Social Worker to provide essential support services in Eugene, OR. This contract position offers an opportunity to work closely with students, families, and school staff to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that may impact academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students social and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students facing personal or family difficulties.
- Facilitate support groups and educational workshops aimed at promoting student well-being.
- Connect students and families with community resources and services.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and confidentiality requirements.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid licensure or certification as a Social Worker.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings.
- Strong understanding of mental health, family dynamics, and community resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and ethical guidelines related to school social work.
