A school-based social worker position is available in Englewood, CO, providing essential support to high school students within a dynamic educational environment. This full-time, onsite role involves working directly with students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, ensuring their well-being and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social and emotional issues
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention plans
- Conduct assessments and develop strategies to support students mental health and social skills
- Connect students and families with community resources and support services
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and regulations
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must hold a DORA School Social Worker (SSW) license applicable for Colorado
- Possession of a Colorado Department of Education-issued credential as a Special Service Provider with an endorsement in school social work
- Experience working with high school-aged students preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively within a collaborative school setting
