This contract opportunity offers you the chance to work closely with students in grades K-5, providing essential support and resources to help them thrive academically and personally. Situated near Elgin, IL, the assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through November 4th, 2026, with the potential to extend based on future needs.
What Youll Bring:
- Active Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) license and Professional Educator License (PEL) are required
- Experience working in school environments, especially with elementary-age children
- Strong communication, advocacy, and collaboration skills to work with teachers, families, and external partners
- Confident in managing diverse caseloads and adapting social work practices to varying student needs
- Ability to remain onsite each school day to provide consistent support
Your Role Will Include:
- Providing direct and group counseling to students in grades K-5 facing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges
- Collaborating with educators and administrative staff to create individualized plans that promote student well-being and academic performance
- Assisting families in accessing community resources and navigating school support systems
- Promoting positive school culture through social-emotional learning initiatives and behavioral interventions
- Maintaining confidentiality while accurately documenting services and progress
This is a full-time, onsite position working school hours from 8:00 AM to 3:35 PM, offering a unique opportunity to become an integral support system for young learners.
