Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Social Worker (SSW) endorsement
  • Certification in School Social Work in Illinois
  • Previous experience providing social work support in school settings strongly preferred
  • Understanding of elementary-age developmental and behavioral needs
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to partner with teachers, staff, and families

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct counseling and crisis intervention for elementary students
  • Conduct assessments and provide reports for IEP/504 meetings
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement intervention strategies
  • Support positive student behavior and foster a safe, inclusive school climate
  • Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and outside agencies as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date, confidential documentation for student caseload
