Make a positive impact supporting students' well-being in a contract position designed for those passionate about school-based social work and psychology. This temporary role, conveniently located near El Cajon and Coronado, offers flexible hours, exposure to a broad age range (TK-12), and an opportunity to work closely with a small caseload, typically about 1-2 students per month.
In this role, youll collaborate with educators, families, and community stakeholders to support the emotional and academic needs of students. The workweek is flexible, ranging from 20 to 24 hours over 3-5 days, allowing you to balance your professional and personal commitments. This position is ideal for professionals seeking meaningful work on a manageable scale while making a difference right away.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in school psychology required
- Experience working within school settings as a social worker or school psychologist
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and work with diverse populations
- Team-oriented mindset with a student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students needs and recommend appropriate interventions
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students and families
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to create effective support plans
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in line with district and state requirements
- Support positive school climate and promote student success
