Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure or certification as required for school social workers
• Previous experience working with children and adolescents, ideally within school environments
• Strong communication skills, adept at collaboration and rapport-building with students, families, and staff
• Capacity to handle sensitive situations with empathy, discretion, and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to develop and implement effective intervention plans and provide crisis support when needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and provide individualized support to students dealing with academic, social, or emotional challenges
• Collaborate alongside teachers, administrators, and counselors to create and implement interventions that enhance student wellbeing
• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and outside agencies to connect students with community resources and services
• Lead small group or individual counseling sessions focused on social skills, coping strategies, and resilience building
• Support staff with professional development related to trauma, mental health, and social-emotional learning
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential case records in accordance with school policies
