Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Valid state-issued School Social Work license or certification
  • Previous experience working in elementary, middle, or high school environments
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with students, families, and staff
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and behavioral intervention strategies
  • Commitment to cultural sensitivity and inclusivity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling for students addressing academic, social, and emotional concerns
  • Conduct assessments and develop action plans to support students needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote positive student outcomes
  • Participate in the creation and management of IEPs and 504 plans for qualifying students
  • Offer crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and referral services as needed
  • Facilitate workshops and trainings on mental health, bullying prevention, and social skills
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with federal, state, and school policies
