Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid state-issued School Social Work license or certification
- Previous experience working in elementary, middle, or high school environments
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport with students, families, and staff
- Familiarity with IEP processes and behavioral intervention strategies
- Commitment to cultural sensitivity and inclusivity
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling for students addressing academic, social, and emotional concerns
- Conduct assessments and develop action plans to support students needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote positive student outcomes
- Participate in the creation and management of IEPs and 504 plans for qualifying students
- Offer crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and referral services as needed
- Facilitate workshops and trainings on mental health, bullying prevention, and social skills
- Maintain documentation in compliance with federal, state, and school policies
