Make a real difference supporting students well-being in a vibrant K-12 environment just outside Denver! This contract position is designed for a skilled and compassionate school social worker or counselor. If you are licensed in Colorado as a LPC, LPCC, LCSW, or MSW and hold a CO SSP (Special Services Provider) credential, your expertise is highly valued to help students thrive both academically and emotionally.
As part of a dedicated team, youll play a critical role in offering counseling, crisis intervention, and case management. Youll also collaborate in the IEP process, ensuring each students unique needs are met. Serving a diverse K-12 caseload, every day youll make positive, lasting impacts on young lives while working closely with educators and families.
Key qualifications:
- Active LPC, LPCC, LCSW, or MSW licensure in Colorado
- Valid CO SSP (Special Services Provider) credential
- Experience in school-based counseling or social work preferred
- Strong ability to work with children and adolescents (K-12)
- Skilled in IEP participation, case management, and crisis intervention
- Excellent communication, empathy, and collaboration skills
Core responsibilities:
- Deliver direct counseling to students (individual and group)
- Provide crisis intervention and support for at-risk students
- Participate in IEP meetings and assist with development/implementation
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Manage caseload documentation and create intervention plans
- Serve as a trusted advocate for student well-being and support networks
