Job Description
A contract position is available for a licensed Social Worker specializing in school settings, located in Denver, CO. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) or part-time option (15 hours per week) involves supporting students in kindergarten through fifth grade within a single school. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, onsite.
Key responsibilities include completing student assessments, re-evaluations, and evaluations to identify student needs and support educational outcomes. The Social Worker will attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings in person, clearly communicating assessment results to parents and collaborating with the IEP team to ensure compliance with legal and educational requirements.
Qualifications and experience:
- Current Colorado Social Worker license
- School Service Provider (SSP) Certificate
- Proven ability to conduct comprehensive student assessments and evaluations in a school setting
- Experience participating in and contributing to IEP team meetings
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
