Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Social Worker licensure appropriate to school settings
- Experience with K-12, high school, elementary, middle, or kindergarten students preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with families, staff, and community partners
- Ability to assess student needs and develop targeted interventions
- Flexibility to adapt support strategies for individual students and diverse groups
- Comfortable managing confidential information and sensitive situations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for students in need of emotional, behavioral, or social support
- Develop, implement, and monitor intervention and support plans addressing academic and non-academic barriers to success
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to coordinate resources, referrals, and ongoing support
- Provide crisis intervention and contribute to school-wide positive behavioral support initiatives
- Participate in team meetings, Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning, or 504 plan development as appropriate
- Support a positive and inclusive school culture that values each student's well-being
